Buying process

Ohio Suppressor Purchase Process:

  1. Find an FFL/SOT Dealer: Locate a gun store licensed to deal with NFA (National Firearms Act) items like suppressors. They will be your point of contact for the entire process. (TiGuard Technologies, we do digital fingerprinting and passport photos. Also we can help you with the ATF E forms)
  2. Purchase and Paperwork:
      • Complete ATF Form 4: Your dealer will help you fill out this application for transfer and registration.
      • Provide Biometrics & Photos: Regardless of individual or trust, you'll need two sets of fingerprints (Form FD-258) and two passport-style photos. If using a trust, all "responsible persons" (grantors/trustees) must do this.
      • Submission: Submits the completed eForm 4 and all supporting documents to the ATF.
    • The Waiting Game: The ATF conducts a thorough background check and processes your application. This can take 1 week or a few months.
    • Approval & Pickup: Once approved, the ATF sends the stamped Form 4. You'll then go to the dealer and take your suppressor home.
